چکیده

His bundle (H) electrograms were recorded in 15 patients with second degree atrioventricular (A-V) block and bundle branch block and these patients were prospectively followed. Site of block was proximal to H in four (BPH), distal to H in nine (BDH), and undetermined in two (studied during 1:1 conduction). Surface electrocardiographic features were retrospectively examined to determine the value of these recordings in predicting the site of block. Patients with type I block, with or without type II or 2:1 block, had BPH. Patients with type II block, 2:1 block, or type II combined with 2:1 block had BDH. Heart failure was more common in those with BPH (three of four patients as compared to three of nine patients with BDH). Syncope developed more commonly in patients with BDH (six of nine patients) as compared to those with BPH (one of four patients). Permanent pacing was indicated in three of four patients with BPH, nine of nine patients with BDH, and one of two patients with block at undetermined site be-

Second-degree Atrioventricular (Mobitz 1) Heart Block in a 52-hour-old Newborn: A Very Rare Case Report

Background: Cardiac conduction disorders are rare syndromes in neonates and children. According to the literature atrial septal defect, especially ostium secundum type, is associated with atrioventricular (AV) block. Wenckebach conduction heart block is very rare in a neonate; however, there is a dearth of research on the prevalence of this type of heart block regarding the neonates and pediatr...

Observations on atrioventricular conduction in patients with bilateral bundle-branch block.

Atrioventricular conduction was studied in three patients, each representing a different grade of bilateral bundle-branch block. His bundle activity was recorded by a catheter technic. Two of the three patients had experienced Adams-Stokes attacks. The first patient had right bundle-branch block with left axis deviation at the time of catheterization. Increases in the atrial driving rate result...

Electrophysiologic and pathologic correlations in two cases of chronic second degree atrioventricular block with left bundle branch block.

This study concerns two cases of chronic 2 degrees atrioventricular (A-V) block with left bundle branch block (LBBB). Pathological studies included serial section of the conduction systems. Case 1 had type I 2 degrees block with LBBB. Electrophysiological studies revealed type I 2 degrees block proximal to the His bundle recording site and a prolonged H-V interval (60 msec). Pathologically ther...

The Clinical Significance of Bundle Branch Block Complicating Acute Myocardial Infarction

To provide an understanding of the clinical characteristics of patients with acute myocardial infarction (MI) and bundle branch block, experience from five centers was accumulated. Patients in whom bundle branch block first appeared after the onset of cardiogenic shock were excluded. In 432 patients, the most common types of block were left (38%) and right with left anterior fascicular block (3...
